Forums - Nintendo - No more MOTION CONTROLS for NINTENDO?

@jarrod  last i checked Nintendogs was not on Wii, and Eyepet has that augmented reality and Nintydogs doesnt that makes all the difference in the world. Nintendogs IMO is really just the next step of Tamagotchi/gigapet, if thats your thing its all good, but i got tired of that in grade school

@lordtheknight  you and me both, i really thought that Lucasarts was going to take the Motion and run with it for Force Unleashed 2, but what we got was essentially a watered down version of the HD games, had they improved on the original Wii one I would have bought it OVER the HD version which I rarely ever do. Oh well, maybe for MOVE

Sure, digital pets have been around since the 80s, and Nintendogs isn't even Nintendo's first one (that would be Hey You Pikachu on N64).  Still, Nintendogs somewhat brought the concept back as a cornerstone in their wide net casual lineup (to unparalleled success), and I'd argue Sony/MS are again following their lead.  Nintendogs was also pretty interactive by virtue of the DS interface (touching, voice recognition) in actual practice it's not too dissimilar from what Eyepet uses PSEye for, and a big step from what had come before.

@jarrod  i did say it was the next step in the gigapet like line, but I dont think Sony and MS are really pushing this whole pet thing like Ninty kinda did. They just want to have their little pet thing too. Its not like their going to be making followups, I honestly hope they dont. Let Ninty do that stuff. Its more successful and usually better.
