Article here from Washington Post. I hope it does not happen and a real Centre-Right Conservative is selected as the Republicans US Presidential candidate in 2012.

Sarah Palin is not a real Conservative. She is a crazy woman posing as a Republican. Palin has extreme views that are dangerous and divisive. Palin does not know anything about Foreign Policy and she is too ignorant to be President of America.

Being a conservative nation like America a man is needed as leader. Republican Party have guys like Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger and plenty of other guys who would do a good job as  US President. World Politics is serious business when you are dealing with Russia, China, Iran, France and all those other tricky nations.

Sarah Palin is not a real Conservative. She is a Radical Libertarian posing as a Republican. Palin is a member of the Tea Party a radical group with extreme views that are dangerous and divisive. Palin does not know anything about Foreign Policy and she is too ignorant to be President of America.

Do not insult libertarians by calling a psychotic bimbo libertarian.  If you think she is libertarian then you don't know much about libertarianism.

This. The Tea Party's apparent message is one of small government, but the people behind it are far-right conservatives who wouldn't actually do that if they got in power. They'd push the tax cuts, religion, hawkish foreign policy and restriction of liberties like their predecessors, and be as financially responsible as Bush. Palin clearly falls in that category.

The biggest issue is her lack of intelligence and inability to admit differing viewpoints. To be an effective President you have to be pragmatic and centrist - I don't think she's capable.

Thatcher is proof that a female leader can be just as arrogant, obnoxious and right-wing as any guy.

Ask any Libertarian what they think about the Tea Party. 95% will tell you that its a sham. Better yet, check the 300 post thread on the Libertarian Party's Facebook page. It sums up what they feel about the TP.

Any true-blue Libertarian is going to tell you why they hate the GOP:

  1. They don't like civil rights (gay marriage/unions, abortion, drugs)
  2. They won't actually reduce the size of government (massive increases in federal spending since the Nixon-era, Bush's war and defense increases)
  3. Libertarians are mostly non-interventionist for foreign military policy. Most have dissaproved of every American war since Korea.

And for the same reason, they will tell you that, for the same reasons, they dislike the tea party, because when it matters, it will be unlikely that the GOP will actually do whats needed to bring the government down to size. That is not saying that there aren't great GOP guys like Paul Ryan, Ron Paul, and Chris Christie when it comes to government...But the fact is, 60-70% of the GOP are still life-termers that want to pander to their consitituents with promises of government taking care of them, and are too fearful of making the difficult choices in order to fix America's problems.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

contender or pretender... I'm gonna have that stuck in my head for a while now >_>;
