Forums - Sales - Black Ops PS3 adjusted up! First week over 4M.

BHR was right. Black Ops (PS3) has a higher first week. We're overtracking Reach in EMEAA. Chart Track has Reach selling 509k in the UK in September which through process of elimination puts our non-UK EMEAA sales for the first 3 weeks at about 730k. But according to Nintendo's investor briefing Reach didn't crack the top 20 for January-September in Spain, Germany, and France. And most likely Italy as well considering how quickly it fell off the charts.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

I remember how BHR was laughed at when he predicted B:Ops PS3 > Halo Reach (First week)

They are pretty much equal now....not such a horrible prediction, eh ?

3 M first week is ... fucking big !

I'm one of the one's who called him a fool... because whether the prediction would be right or wrong... doesn't matter because it's the most ridiculous and foolish prediction I've ever seen!

His fooloish prediction is still a foolish one and still a failure because there's a 360 version of this game!

360 version COD:BO =   5,362,003

PS3 version COD:BO =   4,012,994

Wait what? -_- Who cares about the X360 version here, he was predicting the PS3 version sales compared to what Reach did - maybe that he wanted to show us how Black Ops is superior but who cares?!?!

I care and appearantly otheres did too because unless you ignore the existence of COD: BO 360 version it's a stupid prediction.

The predicters intention was to compare sales and point a finger and laugh about it. His a PS3 "fanatic".

But the reality is his a fool and 360 version beats the PS3 version... so to sum up my response to you... WHO CARES ABOUT REACH HERE? 360 version beat it. Xbox 360 has 2 giant FPS's franchises, Halo and COD.... PS3 only has COD. It was a sad, desperate PS3 fanatic attempt at down-sizing Reach's epic sales.

Sad desperate PS3 fanatics are sad and desperate it seems.

I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. The prediction was also laughed at because of how stupid the prediction was, comparing a multiplat vs an exclusive... yes it's still a horrible prediction just not as  horrible.

It's not his predictions that are laughed at, well from my point, it's the manner in which he presents them, one would assume that he expected PS3 BO to beat Reach by a country mile, ie 500K

Man, you must hate MANY of the comparisons here then.

Wow that comment...

That completely changed my mind... what was I thinking?! So much insight! Comparing a multiplat and an exclusive makes all sense now... Im changed man!

(facepalm)

The thing that multiplats have got against exclusives is that they are *gasp* on multiple platforms.

360 and PS3 combined have B:OPs at over 9 million.... 5 million more than Reach.

BHR was comparing PS3 version of Black Ops only vs Reach. That is far from stupid considering, they are, after all, in the same genre.

Seriously dude, the only thing that is horrible is your behaviour right now (in this thread at least). So predictions are still horrible if they almost turn out to be true in the end? And he is still foolish? Ok...

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

So wait.. Does this mean that the PS3 is now also becoming the, "Shooter box"?
