Forums - Nintendo - GT5 braking with no abs problem?

Has anybody else here been playing gt5 without abs. Maybe its just my rx7 right now but. It is stuipidly hard, im a person to never plays with abs on and am very much a rev head. But no matter how gental i ease on the brakes for some reason it seems that the front left brake locks up then right and its completey RETARDED.

Im failing to understand why is happening. its not that its hard but its impossible ive tried new tires and changing that brake set up and no matter what i do im failing.

Just for the record i have been hyped for this game for years and this is in no way a flame thread.

Is anybody else having the same problem?

Any brake upgrades on your RX-7? My oldschool Challenger was doing the same thing til I did some brake work. The car would start to turn sideways when I got on the brakes pretty hard.

FYI, 2 of my 3 cars in real life do this.... the one that doesn't is ABS equipped.

i can understand under heavy braking it pulls. but this is like just touching the brakes. And you cant upgrade brakes you and front choose front and back where it goes to. and it doesnt help at all

Yea I was having the same issue yesterday with my Honda CRX. Even the slightest touch on brakes would lock the wheels or irratically slide my car in a random direction. I figured I just wasn't used to the GT driving model as it's my first GT game and I'm used to the Forza way of doing things.

You just brake with the nunchuck. Push it forward and it'll do the work. Simples.

I only test drove one of the other cars I won (I forget what it's called) and I had a similar issue but in that case I was in practice mode on some insanely long track and was going 235 km/h and trying to slow down gradually before a slight bend. Again I figured I just suck at GT right now as it's my first time playing one. I guessed it was stupid of me to jump into a sim I've never played and turn off all the assist right away. haha!

I read somewhere at GTplanet forum that you could try to change the brake balance between av and ar to get back some stability (like 5 vs 7 for example ?). But I dont know witch one (av ? or ar ?) have to get the superior number.

Time to Work !

im getting there finally i put both to 0. and now it seems like 1000times better

I didnt know GT5 came to the Wii.
