Never played Chrono Cross. But Xenogears is just.... too good. Everything was great about it. Probably the best story ever told in video games. The story is worthy of a book or an anime series (that would be amazing). And Keep in mind that I played XG THIS year. It's still good after all these years.

if you count the first disc and not the 2nd, then xenogears. the second disc turns into the bad aspects of darth's favorite game.

Chrono Cross Stands on its own just fine imo... probably better, because I played Chrono Trigger after Cross. And I don't complain about it like everyone else. :P

Disc 2 wasn't that bad. Sure I would've loved playing the things that happened in disc 2 instead of reading it for 3 hours. But I still found it to be enjoyable. Ahhh If only Xenogears was a Final Fantasy games. Just imagine it with all the production values.....

production values yes. Hopefully we just get xenoblade (I know not exactly xenogears) in the US... or whatever not japan country you're from.

GitS : SAC comes in 23 minutes shots, Xenogears is long, I remember it was 65 hours long. I should play it again when I get some girlfriend free vacations.

I've recently imported both, I have yet to play either, but I'm glad to see both are very popular

The reason why disc 2 of Xenogears turned out the way it did was because Squaresoft took alot of the buget money out of Xenogears to help fund Final Fantasy VIII.

Wise commercial move. Bad for us.
