Forums - Sony - Sony solves screen peaking!

Yeah sure, as if 3D TV's aren't expensive enough just yet. XD

Also, I'm 99% sure this will require goggles, again.

I got a 55" Sony 3D LED /w a 3D starter pack (2 pair of glasses, 3D Blu-ray, emitter, high speed HDMI cable) AND a PS3 Slim for $2200. Thats HALF what I paid for my 50" Pioneer LCD 5 years ago.

Are they expensive? Sure, but in retrospect they aren't nearly as expensive as large projectors or LCDs when they first came out, and thats even BEFORE you adjust for inflation. After adjustments, they are even cheaper.

Besides, I got the entire setup for about the same price as a regular 55" LED (non-3D). Thank god for Best Buy's package deals.

this is pretty damn awesome!

@happysquirrel  when have console systems ever supported 6 player split screen???  THey barely support split screen these days. Its not the fault of the HDs blame it on the devs. there lazy. I read an article in GI where an anonymous dev pretty much said. to do split screen you have to ask the machine to do twice the work., making it online is easier.  I think that is lazy and disgusting, hopefully they might have an easier time with this tech

Old news and kind of useless coming from a company which barely does split screen. Its like a shoe maker claiming to have solved motion sickness in trampers.

Indeed, because as we all know, only first parties make games for a given console.  ¬_¬

Yeah Sony barely has a first party team. Thats why people said the PS3 had no games for the longest time, yeah.

Tease.

Too bad you'll probably need to get a new one if you want to use this feature. XD

And? I had already planned on getting a new one in a few years when 3D further develops. I'll just move my current one upstairs into the living room. No biggie, the family room gets updated with new tech every so often anyway.

Hahaha.

Sure, maybe not a biggie to you, but to most others it will be, obviously.

Indeed ;)

OT: Sounds cool, but I can already imagine extreme eyestrain from that. I do not deal well with 3D.
