It's probably not fake, but Prologue. And even then, it's probably the worst pic he could find. Tell you what I'm doing from here on out, ignoring the usual nitpick. I get the game tomorrow and will judge it for myself. Reviews also hit tomorrow (ones I usually trust), so we'll see what they give it.

All you're gonna find now is some people that will look to pick at it when they probably weren't that excited to begin with, and/or listened to the most rabid of Sony fans hype it to mighty Heaven. I've asked people who are playing it on my friend list what they thought. The main complaint has been the lock up because of the online component not being ready (seeing as the game hasn't really launched yet). Other than that, graphic's complaints have been virtually nill.

Anectdotal, sure, but I'm willing to wait the 12-16 hours to hear/see the verdict.

and yeah when they show pics like that its usually the worst ones they can find!!!

What is  the big deal folks. Sony, PD bragged about this game being perfect, reviewers will review it as such.

All I as is that people remember this for future reference...  along with review embargos...




I seriously don't see this game ending up over 90's which is better for it. All the games I have enjoyed the most this gen have all been in 80's.

Ugh always knew this will happen. Seen it with other high-profile games. People who never bothered with this game will say it sucks cause they either want people not to buy the game and spread word of mouth full of hate that may affect the sales of this game. Hell, this can also be seen as a marketing strategy by other companies.... I can even see someone in EU GT forums posting multiple times just to troll.

Things will get out of hand til' the other review sites will go and make some sense to this. But then if indeed it had bad reviews, I have only myself to trust to buy the game or not. Plus, I've seen the game in a mall being played and I liked it so far...

In the least you can admit that GT5's graphics are inconsistant, we know this from the Premium/Standard division.

If any other next gen game had best graphics ever for the first 2 levels and last gen visuals for the last 8 levels, it wouldn't get a perfect (or high) graphics score either.

Still doesn't get rid of the fact that by tomorrow all PS3 owners will have the chance to play this game and make there minds up about what the game is like for themselfs while a lot of people posting in this thread that doesn't have a PS3 will be drooling all over the game and there hatred for the game will continue to grow when they see people actually enjoy it.

I know who would have thought, people actually like Gran Turismo and see the game way past its 14 out of 20 review score. SHOCK. Also 15/20 for graphics Haha. That is a joke right?

See Libellu? Yeah he's French and if you saw he said it's the biggest gaming website in France. Which I believe the game is hugely popular there, no?

Well, I don't know to be honest. GT5 is the first GT I've played, so I don't know about the quality of shadows in other GTs. But as I said, overall it looks great. Of course some tracks look more impressive, some look less impressive, but this is something that can be seen in every racing game.

I also think these critics are being extremely picky about literally everything in this game just because the expectations were so high.  These same problems in a call of duty game (once again, I don't care, I'm not even getting the game) likely result in all 17's and 18's or higher with an overall rating of 18 or 19.


In my opinion, the in race graphics aren't zOmG!!!1121211 great it's kinda...okayish in my opinion.

What kind of TV do you have? I can assure you that I am blown away time and time again by the graphics, they are out of this world (or just Japan)
