law of demand - if theres low supply, things will be worth more. if it is unlimited (Downloadable) its worth nothing.

By your logic, you d/l all your games, too. They are downloadable.

Why pack it when you can sell it separatly ?

They want cash for new themes and clothes for avatars/sackboys and you think they would give you something for free ?

It's actually not free. It's just a little nudge to push those that "almost" buy it.

Like how they sell you a huge TV and give you a "free" dvd player.

we used to get free stuff with our (pc) games.. but now they are called special editions and you have to pay more for it.. :(

*looks at his awesome Doom 2 T-shirt.. which came with his retail doom 2 floppies and Command an Conquer Soundtrack which came with the first one..*

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

We used to get full colour instruction manuals that are thick and you can study in your bed until you fall asleep.

Now, we get 10 pages if we're lucky.

But that's really not that big of a nudge and wasting a lot of money for that small nudge.  They'd waste a lot of money on every copy sold to get only a small number of people off the fence.

It would be much more worthwhile to just sell the soundtrack on something like iTunes.
