FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

wow............. it took this looooong to reach this news here, it was free and there from 17 nov not nymore

Saw this on Neogaf  and downloaded it last night with an Indian account! Came home and played with a friend while drunk so i was playin like crap. It says "ALPHA CODE" at the top of the screen while playing. I thought it was in beta? 0o

Anyways......

The aiming/movement seems to have changed alot but the KZ2'ish feel is still somewhat there, just abit less horrible.

The standard ISA rifle sounds beastly now.

People weren't lying when they said the health in this game is low - you get dropped fast.

The numbers that pop up after getting kills are abit more annoying than the numbers in Black Ops. They're positioned pretty bad =/

Hoping the game turns out good - i love multiplayer in shooters but not much else to play anymore besides CoD. Gonna play some more in abit.

EDIT: Played some more...

The weapons in this game are amazing. In terms of feeling beefy and powerful, the only other game I can think of that really matches KZ3 is BC2. It's clear that GG was really aiming for an awesome gun experience. The standard ISA rifle sounds beastly now. The Helghast semi-auto rifle shares the same sound as the sniper rifle now....it's a nice change. Another thing I noticed on it is that the FOV blur has been toned down so you can actually see more details on it. There's also some cool sound changes to other weps. This game really makes me wanna crank up the volume.

I kinda took back what I said about the aiming/movement - for me personally, it's still pretty damn annoying. I find myself making minor constant movements with the right stick. I really wish GG would go the twitch route and make it ultra responsive and find other ways to keep the game's learning curve there. Of course plenty would complain about it and bitch that it'd make it a CoD clone. People seem to forget that pretty much every competitive shooter on pc has perfect response in the aiming. Consoles are already gimped when it comes to aiming in shooters, GG isn't making things any better.

The framerate is horrid right now. It'd be acceptable for playing a singleplayer campaign but for online multiplayer, it really needs to much higher. It's changes often and is pretty distracting. I'm pretty sure that it'll be improved by alot as the game gets closer to release.....to be honest though, I'm not really counting on GG to keep it at a steady 30fps - the maps and game itself is full of so much unnecessary eye-candy. The graphics enthusiasts will love it but anyone wanting a smooth competitive experience might find themselves abit disappointing. On a random note, the fugly film grain is still there.

I didn't play online much so I can't really comment on what is/isn't overpowered/broken yet but compared to KZ2, the game feels alot less full of spam and explosions. There is a bonus that does let you equip two primary weps though - I think this needs to go. The stupid grenade launcher from KZ2 has been "replaced" by an awesome little pistol-sized weapon that's pretty much a grenade launcher itself, except it's alot weaker and fires slowly.Shotgun has ironsights now (instead of the lightswitch). The Helghast LMG's recoil has been massively toned down.

Once again, the options for bot matches are pretty much non-existant. Choose your map/gametype, bot number, their difficulty, and that's it. I find it ridiculous considering that if you started an online bot match in KZ2, there was a very good amount of options and things to tweak. If you decided to start an offline bot match though, you were stuck only being able to adjust only 3 things. It really doesn't make sense that you had to be online to access all those options. Really have no idea what GG was thinking.

Besides all that, loading times have improved alot. Spawn wait time is now 4 secs (instead of 8) so there'll be more action and playtime.

Anyways, I'm really hoping the game ends up being good. So far that framerate is what really needs fixing. I personally still hate the movement and anyone with common sense will know that the game would sell much more if it was adjusted but it's really more of a preference thing - there's still plenty of fans that swear it makes the game x100 more awesome and "realistic" so it's GG's call.

I think the game has lots of potential to be a somewhat big multiplayer hit. I'll be honest though, I don't have that much faith in GG. Though if they show that they're more willing to listen to sensible players giving them balance/etc suggestions this time around, the game will turn out to be alot better.
