Forums - Sony - Killzone 3 Beta Now Available for All Euro PS Plus Members

From the European PS Blog:

If you are not yet on the Killzone 3 Beta – I would like to bring you some good news!

For a limited amount of time, you will be able to download the Beta straight from the PlayStation Plus section of the PS Store. We will not be sending emails or voucher codes for this; it will simply be available for you to download straight to your console.

Please note that to take part you will need to have an active PlayStation Plus subscription and will need to be a resident in a country in which we operate an EU PlayStation Store – See http://eu.playstation.com for full details.

________

To all new players, keep in mind that the beta hasn't been updated in over a month, so it's still pretty old code.  Still listed as "Alpha" and all.  Supposedly GG havea much updated build running internally.

It's pretty good, but has numerous issues with framerate, matchmaking, etc.  I'd just wait for retail rather than subscribe to play a buggy, pre-release version of a game.

Uh... well yeah.  Unless you think I got it from the European Plus account that I don't have?

No issue with framerate here maybe your internet was causing lag.

And the Beta was awesome (the best I played in my PS3)... some bugs of couse, but the Beta is for that... find bugs.

What size matches have you played?  Anything above 20 players drops to well below 20fps.  It's been documented by numerous sources, and I've seen it with my own eyes.  I find it most notable on Corinth Bridge, but from what I've read, Frozen Dam actually has the most framerate issues due to all the snow.  Not sure why it seems to be less noticeable there, however.

The max size match I player had 20 players (I guess... 10 x 10 teams)... and no framerate issues in Frozen Dam full map... but I will make more test today night.
