- Sony has filed a patent protection in US for a new motion control device that is similar to Kinect. The new device comes with a controller that is equipped with gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer and ultrasonic transmitter. It uses ultrasound to communicate with another device to position player in a room. There is also a sensor device that you place on the floor, it has a motion sensor, camera, sound processor and ultrasonic sensor.

LOL That is nothing like kinect, seriously the internet is stupid, it's more of an evolution of move, not the part where it goes on about a controller and the similarities to the description of move like gyros, accelerometers and magnetometers

Finally sony was first to do the first successful controller-less eye based motion control device really the internet should know this by now!!

umm the closest thing to the kinect is the Eyetoy which was released 7 years ago by SONY

this is an far more advanced motion sensing device made up by SONY's R&D team and what ever they create that is new they patent it since SONY, JVC, TEC, SAMSUNG in Japan are always racing themselves for the newest technology and they dont always want to share.

this is one of the possible millions of patents SONY has under there belts 

that seems like it would be expensive, but the possibilities of placing your entire body into a 3d space and showing it on the tv would be endless.
