Ah, didn't realize that was going to be the final name. Apologies.

That's not the final name. It's just for convenience.

Is there another indication it wouldn't happen? I kind of figured that the two portables might receive some multiplats if they were appropriate.

Let's see the reasons to not support this claim:
-PSP2 isn't even confirmed yet
-DS to PSP and vice versa is a helluva lot harder to port than anything else
-The game is already half-completed

I think the second point is the most convincing. I guess you don't expect many titles to go multi? Didn't know it was that hard...

Anyway, there's only one thing I can say to this news with the most amount of exasperation possible: FINALLY. |
Probably not much, in the whole context of the KH universe, but it does pose some good questions. Roxas ability to dual wield is thanks to the power lent to him via Xion, so Sora should have that influence in him as well.
Also, all the talk about the secret rooms in Castle Oblivion (The room of Waking and so on) which are related both to the ending of KH:COM and especially KH:BBS, given the particular aspect of what Castle Oblivion truly is.
I've been replaying the entire KH saga. It's pretty amazing to see all the tiny tidbits fit into the games, finding connections that aren't apparent in the first place (like the keyblade that Riku gives Kairi in KH2 is the same keyblade that Aqua receives after the visit to Destiny Islands).

Man, people get touchy when it comes to KHIII. This is great news because when I saw the first bit of footage I thought it might be a port of the original. I prefer the original Sora and Riku models anyways so it should be fun playing as their younger versions. As for the whole connecting to KHIII thing, this definitely opens up the discussion about what platform it could end up on. I think a home console is a given but pretty much everything depends on how quickly Nomura's team can finish Versus XIII.

| BMaker11 said: And why would Nomura alienate his audience like that by completely changing demographics for a main installment? Especially since he has done nothing but work on the PS3 this entire generation |
Wii actually matches KH's demographics better than PS3 does (kids, families, Disneyphiles, casuals). It's lacking the usual SE/FF otaku compared to PS3, but that's only a fraction of the overall KH audience.
Anyway, I think it's too late for Wii at this point. KH3 might go to Wii 2 though.
| BMaker11 said:and just how SE treats the Wii. I mean think about it. Final Fantasy XIII for PS3/360....Crystal Bearers for Wii. Anecdotal evidence but, just saiyan.....

Yeah and DQX for Wii, nothing for PS360... wait, what again?
