Considering the rumor from EGM specifically said 'sequel' we can rule out a 'remake'

Probably nothing that big cept maybe star ocean 4........but i think they wouldnt have that as a rumor and would just release.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

I think we all would love a remake lost, well cept for the haters. We all know its going to happen i just wish theyd announce it already. Anyways i dont think this rumor holds much weight, it seems like all the quality teams at se have their hands full at the moment so i really doubt anything is being done that we dont know about yet, then again i could be wrong.

Nah,FFVII remake is too good to be true.Then again,if it is true,a FFVII remake is the very only thing that can make me buy a PS3.
Star Ocean 4 is all I can think of. I would assume SO4 is PS3 exclusive anyway... just because it's going to be HD and exclusive based on the screenshot and that's the system is has the best sales opportunities for a JRPG between the two HD consoles. So I would say this rumor is true, but also stupidly obvious.
It would make sense for multi for SE on this game then any other. SO in the past has almost sold half its percentage in the states for its sales and with 360 big buildup there you could be looking at decent sales. Makes alot more sense then FF 13 on 360
