So, DivX will send you a serial # to activate the full version of pro and converter (but not the mpeg-2 plugin or DFX audio). You just need to reinstall it and have a vaild email. Just did it on my network at home. I don't use this format often but free is free and an activated version is always better than trial ver.

ummm there are soo many other players that play all formats and most codecs so i fail to see the point of this...

just download VLC player and Xvid.. problem solved. Hell install TVersity it installs all codexs.

Thanks for the clarification to the purpose of this thread. My mistake in assuming people who would post wouldn't be completely ignorant as to the purpose of the program. I am actually surprised that the above posts were even placed because this shows a complete lack of understanding or research into the product.

I’ll be sure to take a cue from our educational system and lower the intelligence quotient required to understand my thread to the lowest possible level in order to avoid future confusion and embarrassment for all.

I understand why Divx Pro would be appealing...I don't really have a use for it though. I might just do this anyway though...it's a nice program.

free is free - how or why someone would complain about a quality program you usually have to pay for being free is beyond me. You might be surprised to find yourself using it after you get it, I sure was.
