Forums - Sales - Kinect A MONSTER in U.K !

In Fact Kinect Sports already beat Sports Champions in just 3 days of sales!

Not even the game thats bundled with Kinect!

Kinect is a MONTER!

Around 60K for Kinect Sports , means 120-150K for Kinect !?

Sports Champions had 38K in the month of September.

With this numbers for U.K Kinect is obviously undertracked in Americas.

Not sure Kinect Sports is going to be 60K in UK. It sold less that Just Dance 2 in UK and JD2 sold 90K across the whole of EMEAA last week. Unless you think JD 2 went substantially up this week (doubtful) then there's no way Kinect Sports has done 60K in UK alone. It's more possible that Kinect Sports has done 60K across the whole of EMEAA. In which case it most definitely hasn't outsold Sports Champs yet. But it will, in the UK at least.

Also Sports Champs is not bundled in EMEAA, so while outselling it would be noteworthy it won't be quite as significant an event as what it would be if Sports Champs was packed in with every Move starter pack.

The goal was to beat the Wii,  I guess we ARE settling for the Move intead.

Kinect is definitely big in UK and US, congrats!

But I think no one is suprised that it has done better than Move in those regions... It sounds like it is a big achievement in UK, which isn't really the case.

Before anyone tries to attack me now: Kinect is a huge success, but beating Move in UK/US isn't something that's totally unexpected.

I'd say not much more than 40K, unless the UK represents a disproprotionate percent of Just Dance 2 sales. JD 2 should be coming in at about 75K this week for the whole of EMEAA (unless I'm grossly overestimating it's WoW drop), so for Kinect Sports in UK to be >40K and <JD2 it means JD 2 in UK needs to be well over half of total EMEAA sales (even if JD2 sells exactly the same this week as last week across the whole of EMEAA). Is JD2 really that popular in the UK (or that unpopular in the rest of EMEAA)?

Also there's rounding to consider, no way the 360/PS3/PC splits are exact whole number percentages. 2% reported could be anywhere from 1.6%-2.4% actual (I think if it was 1.5 or 2.5% they'd report it as such) so BO could be as low as 32K or as high as 48K. Again, on the JD 2 evidence I'd be inclined to think it's at the lower end, even with JD2 sales being steady this week >48K for Kinect Sports in UK alone seems a bit too high.

We can only wait and see.
