Forums - Sales Discussion - Mass Effect sells 1 million. Red face for VGchartz?

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3164873 According to Jeff Bell who is the corporate VP of global marketing for Microsoft, 1 million copies have ME have moved within three weeks. Making it a fantastic selling RPG for the Xbox 360.  I find the word move a bit suspicious though...Could it mean shipped?  VGchartz shows that 560,000 have been sold so far. Those numbers include Europe up to the 8th and America up to the 1st. If this is true It would surely mean that VGchartz has severely under tracked ME. Is Microsoft deceiving us?

They would have stated shipments, while until shipment numbers for a software is announced we go off of sales. Very easy answer bro.

I'd guess shipped, not sold to consumer, but who knows?

Your face will be even more red when you find out there are at least 2 threads on this.

Really, is that why Microsoft has announced first day sales for Halo before and Nintendo said they sold 500k Super Mario Galaxy the first week in America? Or can only Nintendo announce software sales to consumers before NPD in your mind bro?

Completed XBLA: 16 / 32
Completed Retail: 17 / 64
GS Completion %: 82.63%

I don't believe MS's numbers.

Look at the UK chart, Mass Effect barely broke the top 10 first week, and then dropped out of the top 20 in the second week.

It didn't sell 1 million WW.
