Forums - Gaming - I need to play Wii Sports Resort.

I need to find out if it is as fleshed out as Sports Champions. That is pretty much the reason why I want to play it.

I honestly feel that Sports Champions is very under rated. The game has 10 matches in Bronze. 10 matches in Silver and 10 matches in Gold. This holds true for every game style whether it be Disc Golf, Bocce Ball, Gladiator Duel, Table Tennis, Archery or Volley Ball. That is ~180 different matches you need to complete in order to obtain characters, clothing, discs, paddles, etc...

You also get challenge modes for each game type and multiplayer for each game type, not to mention you have various trophies to obtain which brings you back time and time again. Let us also remember it has dual Move support. Each match is also rated on a 3 star scale, meaning you need to play nearly perfect to obtain 3 stars in all ~180 matches. I

It has a ton of replay potential.

Now I am not entirely positive on how Wii Sports Resort works. Is it the same as Wii Sports, being essentially demos of different games to play and nothing more or is it completely fleshed out like Sports Champions?

I am genuinely curious because I find games like this very enjoyable and wouldn't mind having another game like this to waste countless hours on.

Wii Sports Resort has a Meta of 80 while Sports Champions has a Meta of 76 for those who are wondering why I feel it is underrated.

Sports Champions is not a bad game indeed.

It is just underrated because it came after Wii Sports. People can't help but compare both and say: "Oh look, a game like that game for the white console. I've seen it, its cool, but I already played the other and that's enough..."

Resort is similar to what you described, though the skill curve works somewhat differently than a set number of matches for some sports, whereas there are set matches for others. Some sports have multiple modes, some do not, some have hidden challenges that you might not be aware of (like the secret targets in archery)

Wii Sports Resort has its own mini-pilotwings, as well. Quite underrated in and of itself

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Sports Champions is indeed way up there in value.

I will have to purchase a Motion Plus though.

I am broke as all hell right now.

Anyways, I may create another tipsy review soon.

Haha make it into a weekly thing:    "State of Euphoria: This week, I review ________." Something like that.  Would be a downright staple of the site.  :D

My fiance told me that I should do gaming journalism.

Says I talk about it too much to not pursue a career in that field.

If Move catches on more and there ends up being more money for development, Sports Champions will get addon content in the form of additional sports. Mini-gold would be great, as would bowling, or even some various track or olympic sports.

They have started by adding characters, but that is not good enough. However I do look forward to DLC that would add modes like Bowling and Home Run derby.

Let us hope this becomes a reality. It would make Sports Champions greater than it already is.

I am looking forward to MLB 11 The Show. They say it will have Move support.
