Practically the same sales... Not very good, they were expecting a much bigger increase.

Considering how Fable 3 was in relation to Fable 2, I think they should consider themselves lucky.

Fable 3 had lots of good ideas that just weren't done well enough. If MS gives Lionhead more time with Fable 4, I think it'll be the best of them all though. As it stands now I see Fable 2 >>> Fable > Fable 3.

Hmm imo, it's relatively close between Fable 2 and 3 as I was equally hyped for both x), for me it stands like this;

Fable 1 >>> Fable 3 = Fable 2

Health system could be improved, also do your children grow? I was so busy doing the story I forgot to have a family and attain 40 STD's like in Fable 2, I even had 3 families in Fable 2

I have to be honest, I didn't play the original Fable until this gen. I kinda hated the original Xbox, though it was just immaturity because I thought that Zelda was t3h sh1tz :P I can't really have an equal opinion with the first Fable.

I don't think your children grow, but I could be wrong. I never had any in any Fable.

Ahhh shame on you for your prejudice! :D, I was the only one of my friends to get the original Xbox, no one I knew at the time have even HEARD of Halo OR Fable, which was a bit depressing, but now I have infected my close friends and we all own 360s and all of us are quite hyped for Halo AND Fable games :p.

I know, last gen I remember hearing about this crazy game called "Halo" and thinking "What a stupid name." Three years later I got the game on PC and it immediately became my online shooter of choice until Gears of War 1 came out.

I thought I might give Fable 2 a try since Fable 1 was "okay" to me.  And then it ended up beating out Mass Efect for my favorite WRPG of all time. Weird I know, but the fairy tale world of Fable 2 is just so much more awesome then the one we live in, it just makes it an incredibly carefree experience for me. With the real world in such a mess, its probably the best game I could've gotten. Same could be said of Tales of Vesperia.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I know, Fable 2 was semi disappointment for me as I have experienced the first game during it's first glory years and the best graphics at the time, so it was a fresh and new experience, I don't think that Fable 2 was as entertaining as the first one, which had plenty of quirky developer humour and just british humour overall ie, there is a puzzle with 4 keystones, keystones are I T H S, you have to hit them in order to spell a correct word :p. Yeah I agree the world on Fable 2 was even more "cute and innocent".. with a brutal twist haha, I absolutely love the way that the game puts out this whole innocent look but then comes back with a brutal twist of insane regicide of some sort.

Tales of Vesperia! I rented that game but had to send it back as my subscription was nearing depletion :(, so didn't get a chance to play it! Tbh the only reason I ordered it was because it said that's 4 players x)

Yeah, there was a pretty brutal twist on it, especially during the Spire . . . yeesh. I seriously didn't see that part coming. I gotta say though . . . that Fable 2 ending.

That Freaking Ending.

To this day I still consider it the worst of all time. I was all punped to finally see my

SPOILERS

sister again and, oh wait, you're sister is in another freakin' castle. With Scythe. Who they didn't even put in Fable 3. So Fable 2 definitely wasn't perfect, for sure, but DAT COLORFUL WORLD man.

Tales of Vesperia-- best JRPG this entire generation easily. Imo, anyway-- I've kinda got a huge bias towards Tales of anything, but it destroys all other Tales games in quality.

SPOILERS,

I almost like, fell out of my chair when I saw Theresa from the first fable in the 2nd one, I was like WTFHFHF really!?!?! She's like, old enough to be your gran gran gran gran gran granmother. Haha did you do the quest which was akin to Dragons And Dungeons.. And you had to be the pawn in it? :D, it was a pretty funny sidequest on Fable 3, I think it's called "The Game" or something, quirky humour there aplenty.

Yeah true.. The spire was a bit of an overkill, like 123123131231 people died building that frigging thing, and Theresa just stands there at the end, I can't believe there is no mention of that in Fable 3, unless I missed it lulz. They went from the roots in Fable 3 imo, due to industrial revolution and all that, which isn't essentially a good thing imo. I'd like a filler in between Fable 1 and 2, as there was some 500-ish years gap between them.

Yeah I'll try out Vesperia later on when I got the time and opportunity to play something other than a Maths textbook!

Wasn't Teresa in Fable 1? I can't remember though-- but I think she's supposed to be immortal or something. But yeah I can't believe that she doesn't say practically anything at all about it-- only that "she guided your father through the spire" or something like that. I noticed that the village that is on islands though, you can see the Spire in the backdrop. I tried swimming to it only to be blocked by an invisible wall though >_>

Still, at the end of Fable 2 she says that "the spire is now hers". What the heck did she do with it?

Yeah it was like "the game". I played it once as a female character and when you reach the princess they're like "but its two girls kissing . . .so it's like, doubly hot!" When I chose to kiss the princess, the animation was hilarious. I also liked playing chess against chesty in the creepy dream sequence (Awesomely creepy). I got the freaking box into check and then he decides to attack me. Sore loser.

Yeah Teresa was the sister of the main character! DUN DUN DUN :D, I didn't do the islands mission nor the chesty game :(, but I did the one with the play lol! Where you had to dress up as different characters do emotions/fight enemies.. rather weird lol. I love the reference, "I can't believe you killed the final boss with one hit! How Lame" <- Reference to Fable 2 - epic lool. What I found extremely annoying about Fable 3 is how hard it was to get friends on it, ie you had to do little chores for them and how you couldn't impress a crowd, only one at a time.

Right, right I forgot to add that to my post replying to toastboy-- that bothered the ever loving crap out of me. I really had fun in Fable 2 amassing huge crowds and wowing them with my amazing Russian dance skills, or my Stone Cold fist pump. Then they just took that out and "oh hello there, let me shake your hand for two minutes." Ugh. And those fetch quests  . . . . just, why? So repetitive. I did like the pie job though-- I made well over a million gold with it.

Yeah that whole friendship thing really was a downgrade from the original fables, despite the sanctuary improvement, I agree the jobs on the new fable were sooo much better! I just did the whole "leaving your xbox on" to get the money to save people, really couldn't be bothered at the time for a second playthrough haha.
