Ok guys so i played bayonetta's demo back in january and did not like the game that much due to the chartacter not being that ineresting for a grown up like me .However I saw the game on sale for $20 brand new and bought it.I m in chapter 5 right now and it just keeps getting better and better.

once you buy new techniques and learn them, the possibility of combos are endless and fun to pull off.I think it's safe to say that it is defenitly in top 2 in the genre . Right there with god of war.

This come from a huge god of war fan(the reason i bought PS3 in the first place).

So if you like the genre you owe it to yourself to buy this game. don't let the character put you off like it did with me.This game is gaming at its best.

in some aspects it even surpasses god of war but falls short in some other aspect

all in all this is how i rate hack and slash this gen:

1-god of war III

2-very close second or even another #1 Bayonetta

3-Ninja gaiden (sigma) 2

4-darksiders

5-heavenly sword

6-Devil may cry 4

7-dante's inferno

what about castle vania? that game is pretty good.

I thought Bayonetta was crazy stuff. I'm not so great at pulling off combos so I finished it on Easy mode. Lot of fun.

I'm not really a big GOW fan to be honest. Ninja Gaiden has always been my favorite, with DMC and Bayonetta trailing behind.

Not sure about the new Castlevania, as I haven't played it, but I kinda doubt it.

The new castlevania is great, don't listen to Dsolitude's lies!
