Seriously though, this game could use some optimization eh? But I guess there is no need for Activision to spend time and money with it since it will sell like the fuck anyways.

Sorry but in practice this does not happen the 3D on PS3 did better.

I don't understand your reply...

The method and tech are the same but PS3 version has better 3D. Treyarch confirmed this yesterday on interview.

The best 3D experience is PS3 version... the 360 version fell fake and not imersive.

I don't think understand how 3D works.

You can't have "fake 3D"...Especially in side to side format that xbox is using. Notice how Digital foundry was able to calculate the 3D resolution for 360...thats because everything is visible and it isn't fake 3D.

PS3 on the other hand hides the true 3D resolution by scaling the image even before it reaches the TV so they weren't able to calculate the true 3D resolution for PS3.

I'd love to see some links of Treyarch stating that 360 3D is "fake and not immersive"

Wait... that's not funny at all

Here... but in German.

There the game on a XBOX360 was shown in 3D, which we are not convinced so real. Although a certain sense of depth was evident, but this effect disappeared after a short, if we had gotten used to it. We've talked about this with Lead Animator Adam Rosas, said that one will have the best 3D experience in the game only on PS3.

*points finger and lols due to me paying nothing for the game and still playing online with friends in our own server*

Ok, fair enough.

However digital foundry is not known to be biased and they have concluded otherwise.

Also, the reason he gives as to why the PS3 version is superior is a complete and utter lie.

"The reason is quite simple. The PS3 is built for 3D gaming, while it is only an added feature in the Xbox 360."

PS3 isn't any more "built" for 3d than 360. the only difference is that PS3 automatically tells the TV which 3d format the game is using, where on the 360 version user needs to select "side to side" on the TV menu. Both are equally 3d ready...The only difference is that Microsoft isn't making 3D games, while Sony is.

Sounds to me like coorporate answer bullshit...

Digital Foundry didn't conclude that... just 360 has better resolution and framerate... not 3D experiense.

It is pretty ironic, especially since the developer seems to disagree.

Until there is a benchmark proving his statement, this should be considered a complete BS answer by the developer. His statement as to why the PS3 version is superior is like saying "Santaclaus will come if you're good"...only a select few naive ones will believe it.

The best part of the 360 version is taht because it isn't locked to HDMI 1.4, I can play it on my 3D monitor and projector using a PC capture card and Nvidia 3D vision. Its kinda pointless considering that I can play the real deal (the PC version) but still, I can test the 360 version out... Sadly I can't test the PS3 version without a new TV.

I don't know what you would call this statement then...

"Bearing in mind all the hard work PlayStation 3 has done as the standard-bearer for true stereoscopic 3D console gaming, it's a bit of a blow that Black Ops just doesn't work particularly well on the Sony platform and it's clearly the Xbox 360 game that offers a smoother, superior-looking experience." on page 3

The truth is, both versions have pathetic 3D immersion as neither lets you adjust the 3D depth and 3d conversion like the PC version. However 360 runs smoother in 3D...thats pretty much all there is to it.

I can't say what's BS or not. Just posting what the people who crafted the game said.

Fair enough...

However you have to agree that his reason as to why its supperior is pretty shady. If he came out and said "PS3 version runs at a higher 3D depth than 360 version adding to a greater immersion effect"...that would be wonderful. But as things are, seems like a PR guy who doesn't know what hes talking about, just yapping away
