I haven't done the gold cup on table tennis yet, but my son has got all the way to Kenji in the gold cup (hasn't taken on Kenji yet) by basically doing nothing more than holding the Move controller upside down and moving the controller side to side and back and forth, occasionally actually slapping at the ball when it's ripe for a smash. The rallies go on for ages, but eventually the opponent muffs their shot and he wins the point. Essentially a war of attrition. That's why I prefer Disc Golf, you can't fake it out.
