Forums - Sony - So The Fight: Lights Out has 47 Metascore. IGN is still wrong?

Lol, someone on the GT forums has just added an excellent post which pretty much sums up quite nicely everything that the majority of people on forums all over the place that've got the game have said:

"Yes, the game is awesome

Yes, I own it

Yes, It perfectly and flawlessly recreates 1:1 movement

Yes, the calibration is very simple

Yes, The online multiplayer is the most fun I've had in years

Yes, Spectating an online fight, betting on the winner and if someone will get knocked out in the next 30 seconds is epic

Yes, My arms have been hurting for the last 2 days

Yes, There is absolutely no lag whatsoever!

Gametrailers and IGN have flat out lied, but what's new there?"

I really can't understand how so many reviewers have got things so wrong...and I haven't even played the game yet!!! The iWaggle video review has shown everyone that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the controls, there's also another video demonstration doing the rounds on youtube here. The guy obviously has some input lag going on with his telly because you can see more lag here than you do on the iWaggle review, but it does demonstrate the controls quite well...although he's useless on the speed bag and doesn't look like he'd be too useful in a real fight lol

Out of all the reviews I've read the reviews from The Sixth Axis and Gaming Age so far are pretty much spot-on with the majority of user feedback and user reviews elsewhere. It's not a 9/10 game by any means but it also isn't as low as a 4 or 5/10 score. 7/10 looks to be the average score from what I've seen. And I'll be getting my copy next week sometime hopefully so I'll let you all know what I think of it myself.

IGN is always wrong.

I like demos like this one.  Shows some great footage from the game and gives another perspective.  IGN's review just seemed lazy and pre-determined.

There's also an interesting video review in two parts from someone that does martial arts here and here. The first part deals with the graphics and presentation and the second part deals with the gameplay and conclusion. As a gamer he gives it a 7/10 and as a martial artist/fighter he gives it 8/10. And yet again, we have a review from someone that can punch his way out of a paper bag giving it another 7/10.

I'm convinced that the review scores that are 5 or under are from people that can't fight for toffee lol.

I wonder why only PS3 owners and biased websites/blogs dedicated to PS3 that don't even qualify to metacritic such as iWaggle, are the only ones glorifying this game.

Metascore is down again, to 48, based on 18 reviews.

Try again, the highest scores are from indipendent publications: Eurogamer 80, TheSixthAxis 70, Gaming Age 67, Game Informer 65, while the lowest score is from Playstation Lifestyle 20 (IGN is now second lowest). iWaggle is not even in metacritic.

Probably you confused The Fight with some kinect games: Fighters Uncaged (meta: 32, highest scores: Mondo Xbox 75, Official Xbox Magazine 60), Adrenalin Misfits (meta: 48, highest score: MS Xbox World 70), Sonic Free Riders (meta: 49, highest scores: MS Xbox World 75, Official Xbox Magazine 75, IGN 75), Kinect Joyride (meta: 53, highest scores: MS XBbox World 75).

Fail?

I'm talking about the websites that don't qualify for metacritic and are not reliable at all and people keep linking them and random fanboys on youtube.

I can also have a shitty biased website, or a youtube account and review a trahsy game and say it is the holy grail.

Yes, you fail.

Yes, you fail.

You need to realize that fans won't make such threads/reviews for ANY game...if not we would have seen threads for KungFu Rider way more and way before than this.

People are genuinly liking the game, simple as that. They feel some of the reviews have missed the point, so they say it. I see no problem with that. I don't see why this bugs you so much tho? If people like it they like it, they will play it and enjoy it...if you trust reviews from sites like IGN so much that's up to you..but criticizing non-stop and creating an issue out of a non-issue like this is just silly.

So let it be...and move along...

Of course everyone has their own opinion on everything.

Not that it matters much when the gaming press media is reviewing it as bad a game. You can still enjoy a mediocre game, but it doesn't make it good. You're just diggin a bad game that's all. No problem with that.

Jesus, you people are still bickering about this?  You're acting like this is the first bad moderately hyped game ever released.

It's a bad game, get over it.  That message is to both sides.

I haven't personally played it, but judging by my friends that have, the Gametrailers review is pretty spot on (I haven't read the IGN review).  It's perfectly fine for you people that like the game to like the game.  There's nothing wrong with seeing the appeal of the bad game, but in the end it's still a bad game.  Just because you like it doesn't make it good, it just makes it good to you.
