Forums - Sony - So The Fight: Lights Out has 47 Metascore. IGN is still wrong?

Lets wait until there are 20 reviews on which to compare a Metascore in relation to IGN's score. Then decide whether IGN's review score is an outlier. Though it's worth noting there's another 30 score on there, so more likely the 80 score is the outlier, but it's too early to say where the game is going to end up on metascore.

It's not a game I'd ever pick up myself even if it had a meta of 80.

I predicted it would just based on how unresponsive it looked in videos.

I still expected better from a 1st party game though.

If your going to review a game, review it properly and don't give anyone an excuse to fault you. He made several serious mistakes in his review, he got called out for it and hopefully in the future they don't make the same mistakes again. That's true, but there was many people complaining about it actually being a good game with responsive controls.

Have you played it? I've played games that have gotten 50 on Metacritic (Legendary, X-Blades, Saw) and I've enjoyed them. Different strokes for different folks. You should also know by now that motion controller games rarely ever get given the chance to shine, even if they are decent. I don't know if the game is good or not, but I don't have a problem with people that like it.



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

They published it in the same way that Microsoft published Ninety Nine Nights and Too Human. I can't find any info on if they own the IP or if they funded the project or not.

Wrong questions, if you want to know if it's Sony first party you have to ask does Sony own the studio?

It doesn't actually matter who owns the IP and funds the project.

Well if Sony owns the IP than its 1st party. Unless we confirm they don't I'll just keep assuming its 1st party.

For the record, MS owns Ninety Nine Nights.

I mean Microsoft didn't own Bungie. So those aren't 1st party games?

I don't believe those Mario Party games were developed by Nintendo either.
