Forums - Microsoft - GameStop says Kinect’s looking to be the winner this Christmas

Speaking with Eurogamer, the retailer’s senior VP of merchandising and marketing, Bob McKenzie, believes this this come to pass due to Kinect’s sell through in the US at launch.

“I’d say right now Microsoft’s Kinect is looking to be the winner of the two for us,” said McKenzie. “We’re very happy with the sell through over the weekend. It has met our expectations and actually exceeded our initial forecasts.

“I do have them both, obviously, and the Move sports bundle is a great option, but I knew for my family – with an eight-year-old daughter and ten-year-old boy – that Kinect was really going to be the thing that was more geared towards my household.”

Microsoft thinks the device will do well at Christmas too, so much so it recently upped its initial sales forecast from 2 million to five million.

you made this thread already, and it was locked because there was already a thread.  You didn't think a third thread would somehow work out did you?

edit: seems your first thread was locked by mistake or for poor reasons, so I'll leave this one up.

...

an official bump to get this thing a shot at life since I don't think unlocking it puts it at the front of the line.

Since a similar thread like this has already been posted (although the main one does seem to have a negative vibe to it) I say we turn this into a predictions thread for north america first day and first week sales.

Day one 400K

First week 600K
