As some previous posters, I would say that IF the 60% number is correct, it is mostly people who own both Wii and PS3, enjoy their Wii and so consider buying also Move for their PS3... If I had a PS3, I would probably also get Move - but that wouldn't mean abandoning the Wii...

Here it is again! It's taken a while because no one has done any recent research, but finally "these are statistics that I don't want to believe so they must be garbage" posts!

But OP, why does it have to be "unhappy Nintendo fans"? Maybe they just want to play some PS3 games, and they obviously like motion controls. I mean....things like Sports Champions are obviously a carbon copy of Wii Sports, but Eye Pet, Kung Fu Rider, etc aren't on the Wii, and maybe they want to try motion controls for those games? (And don't try and bring up metascores. Just Dance sold millions). Not to mention "core" games with Move compatibility now.

I mean, I wasn't an "unhappy Sony fan" when I bought a 360. I just saw that there were other experiences that aren't on the PS3 that I may enjoy. Same can be said for people with Wiis buying Move.

To answer your questions, they probably waited for something else than "Mario" and "Kirby" and all the rest of the popular Nintendo IPs. Personally, I can't wait to see some Sony IPs use the motion control technology too (Killzone 3 mostly). I own a Wii as well by the way.

You obviously don't know how random sampling works. Any sample with over 2,000 results is understood as pretty damned accurate.

Or do you believe presidential election polls are all 95% false? Because about 2,000 is all they use for those for most polls, and this accounts for 150M people, and within a -/ 2% margin of error, they're spot on....

Rather they bought the wii cause it might be fun. Wasn't the point of the blue ocean to get people who weren't gamers into playing games? These people might be wii fans, but they aren't necessarily nintendo fans. At the very least they are way less invested emotionally in nintendo than we are for our favorite game company.

Some of these new gamers might be disappointed recently with wii games so they decide to find something else that fills their new needs. Oh look, the PS3 has these new controls that are the same kind as the Wii, maybe ill go get that.

I'm guessing it involves little slips of paper with high numbers written on them and a hat.

  Ok, So why move games are selling so little? are the 60% of the wii userbase or around 40 million,  waiting in line to buy wiisports hd, wiiparty hd, justdance hd?... How many wii owners also own another console, maybe half of them or maybe more... My wii is not collecting dust as many have said, I actually only own a Wii and DS, I dont have enough time to play a lot of games, so I am sticking to my consoles and so a lot of people do... Move is not going to be succesfull jus for selling 20 millions moves, but if it can lift software and hardware as wii is being doing since launch....
