3DS will have both 2D and 3D Mario games.

Yah i loved Galazy as well. They took Mario64 which had big levels to explore and get lost in and made it more linear restricting you to planets. This made it feel more like a 2D Mario game then a Mario:Sunshine or 64 sequel. I like being forced down a pre-determined path but I would love a sequel to Mario Sunshine.

Also I would love to see Nintendo create a new antagonist. Bowser is great and all but Paper Mario proved that other villians can really add to the experiance. Look at DKC:R no more kremlings or King.K.Rool but the new villians will make the experiance unique.

Wierd it wont let me qoute Mr Joecool. Anyways that first bit is exactly why Mario Galaxy 1/2 are my favorite 3D Marios. Well, favorite 3D platformers actually. The last time I went back and Played Mario64 after playing Galaxy 2 I just couldnt. I got about 7 stars and just couldnt stand to play it anymore. Funny enough I still play Mario 1-4 2D randomly throughout the year.

Yah agreed, thats the thing I like about Galaxy. Though I still like the bigger less linear enviroments of 64 and Sunshine. To be honest I like all Mario games except the sports ones. Both 3D linear, 3D not-so linear and 2D sidescroller. All of them are fun. I don't know why anyone would be pissed that Nintendo is releasing a 3D one first considering the main selling feature of the console is 3D.

Hm I myself would prefer the 2D one but I am not actually pissed off by it. Just a little annoyed because I love 2D platformers. However, like I said in one of my other post Im getting spoiled this last part of the year with all the 2d goodness on Wii so I cant really complain I guess
