Portal, Wii Series, BIT.TRIP, No More Heroes. I'm with scottie on this one; Portal's better than everything they mentioned.
Ignoring the Wii Series is really weird, and it's only getting weirder in 2010. I guess Professor Layton was their way of throwing Nintendo a bone? Or their way of throwing Japan a bone?
Not bad lisst if you added the honorable mention... Just it's missing the more huge new franchise of this gen... Wii____ series.
But we must first concentrate ourselves on the way to entertain people, for video games to live. Else, it's a world where sales representative will win, which has as effect to kill creativity. I want to say to the creators all around the world:"Courage, Dare!". Shigeru Miyamoto.
Good except for professor layton. WTF?
Maybe put LBP there instead.
List does mention 5 really great games. I say 5 becuase I don't know if Professor Layton is (should probably pick that up) and don't agree that Assassin's Creed is (my opinion).
I'd add The Witcher, and Valkyria and switch the order a bit...my list would go something like this:
But you know, that's just me. I'd bet you'd never believe that I would put gears at the top, huh? HAHA
Pretty awful list as far as new IPs this gen go. Wii Sports is clearly the most profitable series started, and probably the most influential this generation. I suppose you could separate some of the Wii * titles into different series, but still Wii Sports/Resort and Wii Fit both have legitimate claims to a spot individually. Can't really expect anything resembling good journalism from games radar though. 5 of the 7 are available on the 360, and 4 of those are or were console exclusives for it to boot.
good list but id leave out left4dead and put in something with a bit more imagiation
