Forums - Gaming - More mini-games yay! Majesco brings Wonderworld Amusement Park to Wii

Majesco Entertainment has today announced an all-new mini-game collection for Wii taking inspiration from the fun of amusement parks. Wonderworld Amusement Park will feature 30 different mini-games, presented in five stylised fantasy areas.

Players will be able to create a custom character, complete with accessories and outfits purchased using in-game winnings. In addition to the mini-games the amusement park will feature a host of enjoyable rides and multiplayer support for up to four-players.

"Only the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers let us reproduce the real life thrill of these games and rides from the comfort of the living room," said John Merchant, Marketing Manager, Majesco Europe.

In development by Coyote Console, Wonderland Amusement Park is scheduled for release across Europe in summer 2008.

Well, after the crapfest that was Kengo: Legend of the Nine-they're just going back to what they're good at.

I predict 08 will be the death of the Wii mini games. The standards will be set so high next year that devs will really have to raise their game I reckon, but I do reckon Majestico will follow up Cooking Mama with Wii toilet cleaner game where the wii mote actys as the toilet cleaner and the unique shape of the nunchuck allows it to be used as a toilet duck.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Hurray!!!

Hasn't this been done before -- 2K's Carnival Games (US)/Carnival: Funfare Games (EU)?

And while reviewers hatedi it, it will probably go over 300k units sold in US when the Dec 8 sales come out and is 15th for Wii games on the most recent Chart Trak weekly listing (not being in the top 50 overall means I can't get good VGChartz numbers, so I to search elsewhere).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
