Finally, been sitting on this since soon after day one ended. Gonna leave as is, but total facepalm given the result of the night.
First, in the future I'll prioritize knowing where the vote totals are over asking/answering questions or giving my own thoughts. I'm actually pretty surprised at how many No Lynch votes came out while there was a big rift, which was caused by a misinterpretation of my post, between two stories. No Lynch got up to 9 votes before I even got back to respond. I should've(and would've had I known where it was) unvoted then, but prof's vote would've hammered shortly after GoW anyway. I didn't want the day to end yet because there was still more I had to say, but since I'm still alive I can say it now. I reread the entire thread, so get ready for a long post again.

All of these metatheories and metagames are making my head hurt.
Let's go back to the old method of suspecting idlers.

I myself said I'd be for lynching lurkers. I can think of reasons a townie would lurk a bit in the early days, but eventually it just isn't pro-town behavior. It's only been two real days, but I took the liberty of counting everyone's posts(I only counted edits by way of a second post, which is the only acceptable method IMO, as a single post) and which of those I thought had actual content, which seemed pro-town, and which were scummy.
Here's who stands out to me as idling/lurking:
SAK 13(2), Kamal 9(2), sabby 5(2), gurgle 5(0), noname 3(1), Silver 1(0)
Note that some posted less often, but the content-to-post ratio is much better for them.
Again it's still too early to jump on any of these guys for this alone. If there is no improvement though and a deadline comes up for this day, then I'd consider one of them as a candidate for lynching should there be no solid evidence against a more active player.
On the flip-side here are the most active:
Khuutra 52(35), Heph 48(24), prof 46(24), dtewi 32(20), hat 25(12), Truck 20(12)

1) did godofwar_3ever ever justify his vote? beyond having "no reason"?
4) thank you for the clarification Final-Fan, I now understand exactly what my alignment is, the "World Conquest" thing had me confused
edit: bolded peoples names

4) dude that is so scumy it's not funny, I myself was confused the first time arround, but I had the openmindedness to PM FF and not post a blatant "hidden"alignment claim....
|
4) im not that smart, lol, I literally posted it in reaction to having just read through new posts including Final-Fans

This really is the stupidest way to alignment claim. Since it's now common knowledge to everyone instead of only townies, there is no longer a reason to trust this from anyone.
Also for 1, see below but you should really be reading the thread. I know full well a lot can happen while away, but if you're town this is vital. If you're scum then by all means slip up again and we'll catch you on it.
Next up is a prof post, but I don't want to quote it all nor snip out everything either:
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3742085
Your last line about mafia usually being more cautious is one of the reasons I think there wasn't a large bandwagon on myself, you, Heph, or Khuutra. With strong stances from both sides, they could have been waiting for some townies to lend more credibility to either side or risk some heavy scrutiny for jumping on the "wrong" story.
Tying in with my post/content/pro-town/scummy tally earlier I'll go through my feelings on everyone after day one.
First up I have no strong town reads, but a few fairly town reads:
I count the most pro-town actions from Khuutra, but also leads everyone in number of scummy actions. Still the town vibe wins. Prof is right under Khuutra in both categories, but the trouble is a lot of the scumminess could actually be scum-baiting. Again the town vibe wins. Lastly, Heph is third in pro-town to me, but close to the bottom on the scumlist. I promised yesterday that I'd go further into the details of each; however, now I'm not sure if I should, because while it would be helpful to town that believes me it could also give useful information to scum.
Slight town reads: hat, Truck, dtewi, Kantor
No reads: radish, MetalGear, Silver(obviously), Kamal, noname, Homer, gurgle, Republic, sabby
Next up slight scum(or at least not pro-town) reads in order, first up nen-suer: It was only the second no lynch vote, but the reason seemed like a rush to end the day before there could be any discussion. I got a stronger reaction from http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3741175 which feels to me like a statement that if I'm not lynched then scum is going to kill me for having power.(again not claiming that I have one, just implying this is the logic I get from the post) Scum would want to kill power obviously, but I don't think a townie would want to imply someone else is power if they actually thought that to be true.
SAK: The "democratic system" bit bothered me. Granted as dtewi soon-after pointed out, there tend to be leaders and bandwagoners, but mafia games always allow everyone to vote. Sorta mentioned it above, the post/content count comes off like trying to look active without actually saying anything. Asking if lurkers get modkilled didn't rub me the right way. Sure lurking is generally not pro-town, but this could be trying to find out if scum can lurk and only worry about lynches and/or if scum can let lurking townies get modkilled without having to try to get them lynched. This combined with the "no night kills" question are rather odd. I don't think your vote for me is necessarily scummy, but your three "points" in response to me asking to have the vote removed are all extremely weak.

Which finally brings us to GoW, and I will most certainly come through on my promise of explaining the FoS: no reason in particular for the vote on hat at first, then

The way I see it, either hatmoza, Khuutra or dtewi (1, 2 or even all 3 of them) might be scum.
I suggest we lynch either hatmoza or Khuutra because,
1. I don't like what I'm hearing from them.
2. They're both great players, and a risk for us townies to have against us if they are anti town.
|
The first point really doesn't hold any content and the second is crap to me. Let's say that they are great players, without anything to go on the odds are they townies. That would be quite helpful for town, so given the odds lynching them would be anti-town. And now the rest of his posts:
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3740716 It's more on the hat vote, now it's a claim that the vote was random. I think it was a bit late for a random vote, but I would've had no issues if that was the initial response flat out.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3741195 there's an unvote while simultaneously appearing like giving me a defense.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3741225 I already pointed this one out yesterday with the initial FoS, but this really looks like a weak attempt to come up with some additional evidence against me and get the votes going.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3742137 Now a switch to no lynch without any given reason. Maybe my return and response cleared up the doubt against me or maybe it was clear there would be no rally to lynch me. Also can't know if you knew this was the hammer vote and wanted to end the day before more information could come out.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3742146 Another switch with an unvote. 4 straight posts with votes/unvotes seems very wish-washy to me.
So yeah with all of that
