I read the interview which took place in Tokyo on a Japanese site. In Japanese, his numbers for US, Europe and Japan are all SHIPPED. He doesn't say sold.

Well ,I think that as Stringer was explicitly speaking about weekly sales in both Europe and Japan he also refered to weekly sales in US "after the BF week " .
And about European figures Stringer says 200K weekly that more or less means they have at least managed some of these in a row .At the very least 2 consecutive weeks .The site is only showing 1 week at 195K and the prior one at 150+K .And Stringer is saying clearly Europe and the site is adding to Europe the data of Australia ,New Zealand and Others .So the data doesnt coincide so much ,theres at the very least a 80-90K discrepancy .
Well what was said that since Black Firday, 200k PS3's have been sold thereafter. Meaning in the last 2 weeks sales data, in the US 200k PS3's should have shown. So we might actually be overestimating. Who knows. I think if we add the rest of America in that'd be about 250k.

Fixed.
400k-500k sales for the PS3 / week, is around expectations/normal for this time of year. Around 3 weeks left, on target for around 8.5m sales by end of '07.
The question is what happens once the holidays end - sales will drop around 75%-80% (normal).
They are still on target for missing FY projections by 2.5m-3.0m - depending on channel stuffing. Losing MGS in Q1 '08 wasn't part of their plan either.

I think the important point here is that only two months ago when the ps3 was selling like vomit outside of Europe everyone would have put the 11 mio in dreamland. Lots of people were sure it would go down in flames. Doesn't seem too likely now 
. Arbitrary sales targets should only he of interest for analysts. I wasnt so sure anymore but 400$, good games and Xmas have changed everything.
