Guess this should still be seen as a rumour, but translations of this entry:

On a German Bioware forum indicate Bioware has come up with a clever way to cover the lack of Mass Effect on PS3 - namely, Mass Effect 2 on PS3 will come with an interactive comic that tells the story of Mass Effect and allows you to select each of the key decisions, which will then translate into your start for Mass Effect 2.
Sounds plausible to me, and a neat way of solving this issue. This approach means on PS3 gamers new to the franchise can both get up to speed with the Universe via the comic and at the same time make the decisions that will affect their Mass Effect 2 experience exactly as if they'd just played Mass Effect.
Pretty clever if true.
I play Mass Effect on PC myself, but I was curious how Bioware would handle this, figuring they'd have to come up with something clever, and it seems they may indeed have done so.
EDIT: forgot to mention the entry refers to a new 6 hour mission. I hope that comes to PC too (and 360 of course) although I guess it might not if it's to cover Sony's exclusive content for late ports policy. Actually, anyone know if that policy is still in place?
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
