Forums - General - Leaving University to become a Chef. What does VGChartz think?

If you have reached to the point of getting depressed hate the lessons, in the end you won't even have a good time being a student. But if you have only on year left it would be great graduate your study. I also don't know the reasons you want to leave so i respect your descision!

I was studying abroad Electrical and computer engineering but after 3 years i couldn't take it anymore. My study was 5 years. I hated the electrical part, the university was more focused on the electrical part and I only liked the computer engineering part. I had a terrible time with the lessons, the professors and i got depressed. I had a completely different view of how things would be.
After 3 years i quit and returned to my country to continue computer engineering, thank god i've been transferred in the second year. I haven't regret it since i love working with computers, and i've always been obsessed with them.

I also like programming so i don't know what am i going to follow and work with eventually, but fortunately i have that choice since we have programming lessons in this study. I even plan to continue studying in developing video games! But anyway i'll see after i finish this first!

Do what you really like, and don't study something that you don't like just because you will have more money afterwards. Thats never guaranteed anyway.
Choose what will make you happy and have a great life, that's what matters in the end.
