Forums - Sony - New GT5 Japanese Trailer "GEEEMU!?"

A funny new Japanese GT5 advertisement.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoNANK5EWNU

"GEEEMU!?"

A family are in a electronics store marveling at a Sony Bravia on which a video for GT5 is playing. The daughter suggests they get the tv and "this" (she points to the moving car onscreen). The Dad looks at her surprised by the remark, and she explaines that it's only a game. The Dad stares back at the TV and cannot believe his eyes. Then a sales clerk appears out of nowhere. :D

Typical Japanese commercial. In the US it would basicly be the same. Only the clerk would wear a "can I help you" shirt and his teeth would be unnaturally white.

The European version would include a babe on the hood of the car that has nothing to do with the game but still is nice to look at. I love Europe!

PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)

Battlefield 2: Gazz1979

I hope that this game does well in Japan anyway, they have loved the previous games so it is possible. I doubt that it will do as well as Sony expect though, given the limited userbase, but should see quite a few consoles sold anyway!

Keep games like this coming Sony and you'll have Japan eating out of your hands, like they were with the PS2 :D

"GEEEMU!?"

And yes Gazz, you gotta love Europe for their general fast car combined with sexy woman infatuation. :D

I like this advertisement, saw it yesterday but this actually happens to me about two weeks ago. I was playing the GT 5 Prologue (Japanese demo) and when my dad came to my room, he was so surprised, that he refuse to believe this is just a game. Then when I explain to him more (GT TV and so on) he told me this is truly incredible, above all what I own.

Around the Network

for me it is a stupid, basic, useless, advertissements,
but
maybe for the target, family/casual, it is a good ads
I truly dont know ...

Time to Work !

Gran Turismo does looking amazing. I have never played nor bought a GT game before but I might, take the dip and explore GT5 when the time comes around.

Nintendo & Sony supporter:

 Consoles: Wii & PS3.

That ad does what all PS3 ads should do:  show how great the PS3 experience is.  GT5 may be a system defining experience for the PS3 though I'll skip the Prologue and wait for the full version.
