Forums - Sony - Cliff B: "Heavy Rain perfect for females"

@ CGI & Reasonable -

Thanks for the info.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Sorry HR isn't filled with oversteroirded space marines fighting the archetypal alien enemy

I am not so sure, the game has no real female appeal, madision is a nothing character and is only there for the boys (so take her out or give her some real purpose to improve the game) and while it is obvious that ethan loves his son the game is too short to get into the characters (but then I am an RPG gamer so this is entiirly my opinion) and the game takes too many props from modern horror movies like saw (which most females I know diislike) to really be taken seriously as a mystery thriller

I really disliked heavy rain and I am a female who really likes mystery, though mainly the older ones like sherlock holmes, E.A Poe and the agatha christie works.

In my opinion (and just my opinion) heavy rain might have female appael if the thought process of the characters was based more around solving the mystery and less around following minor leads that are likely to get them into danger

In short less fighting (and graphic horror movie style violence) and more logical problem solving based of clues around the characters, as it was I was majorly disappointed, it just came off as a bad horror crossed with a modern movie that couldnt decide wherter it wanted to be mystery or action. The plot was so flaky on places the game definitely sits more in the action genre than mystery. But once again this is just my opinion, I know many people loved it
