This is to help law enforcement in catching pedophiles, retrieving stolen consoles, retrieving communications for missing people, etc.  I support it since it means protecting people and possibly even saving lives.

I hope your kidding with these statements.  It's really scary that anyone would even CONSIDER supporting such a ridiculous invasion of privacy.

Yeah heaven forbid Legend wants the peados and criminals locked up, what a ludicrus thing to say!

If something this minor could actually catch peadophils, and you think that's a bad thing .. then .. wow.

So someone can open up a window into my home and watch what I and my family do without me knowing it and that's supposed to be OK with me?  I don't care if it is just the police.  There are no bad cops?  There is no potential for misuse?

I'm not even commenting on that MS or Sony or anyone would do this.  I'm not surprised they came out right away and said we aren't going to do this, because most people would consider this an unaccepable invasion of privacy.

The fact that if they were doing this, you would consider it minor and would be OK with it is just ... well ... wow.

So I guess you support the police placing a mandatory camera (and maybe a mandatory listening device) in every home? I mean, in addition to catching pedophiles, that will be used to prevent even worse things than retrieiving stolen consoles - it will prevent crimes from being perpetrated or at least catch the perpetrators, prevent abusive parents mistreating their children, prevent rapes, prevent or help solve murders, help prevent the planning and execution of terrorist attacks, and the list is long.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's a misunderstand here.  The new TOS is talking about a person's communications over Xbox Live meaning people sending vidoes or text messages or voice chat, etc.  It's not about Kinect sending video 24/7 or even someone flipping a switch at Microsoft to turn on Kinect remotely and spy on you (Is that even built into the software?).

So for your camera analogy to even make sense it would only be for a camera that you turn on and purposely broadcast to other people with.  In that's the case and you're still against it then I can't imagine what it's going to be like for you when everyone has a video phone.

For me if someone is posting child porn or trying to lure children (or adults for that matter) or harassing people then I have no problem with police getting a warrant and having access to that communication.
