good review. it does sound cool how the kinect will automatically sign you in. did ign review move?

Yah.  They gave Kinect a 7.5 and Move an 8.5.  Based on the conclusions at the bottom, price and lag on Kinect were big factors.

Edit: To clarify, the precision with Kinect was good, their issue was with lag.

Hmm, They did say something about it not being intended as a 1:1 experience, so it doesn't sound like they were all that positive about its precision, when both competitors offer 1:1.

And as they point out with the lag issue - it differs game to game, which makes it a software issue, not a hardware one and thus hopefully the 2nd wave of kinect games will have very little lag.

Yeah, thanks for the clarification.  I'm sure the lag thing will get better.  The 1:1...probably won't be too big a deal, but I can't wait too see how immersive the games can really get, or if it really just is a Wii redux, now with voice commands lol.

one funny thing is that they really didnt take much about lag in the game reviews, unless i am mistaken.

good review, i honestly didnt see this coming.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

I wonder why they didn't even mention the problem that Kinect requires so much space.

All other reviews of the Kinect hardware I read said that this is probably Kinect's biggest problem.

The lag could depend on how complex the software is as well. So far Boxing seems to suck for both Move and Kinect. If the hardware is doing different amount  of  processing for each game then it would be a combo of hardware and software limts. Then most HDTV themselves has lag which would add the amount of delay between your movement vs screen movement.  Time will tell.
For any 1:1 motion you want to make sure your HDTV has some kind of "game mode" setting which at least reduces most of the lag with HDTV.

Good review! Hopefully mates I know with a 360 will gt it soon! Can't wait to try it out!

You have to have 100 posts to make a thread ( I think). Just go on a posting spree (don't spam) and share your opinion on the wonderful world of video games until you reach 100 posts.

To make a thread, go to the section you want to post in (Gaming Discussion, Sales Discussion), look up to the top right hand corner under the 'Search Gamerconnect' bar and you'll see a tab that says New Thread. Click on it and it'll take you to a fresh thread. I hope to debate, argue and read the contents of your thread in the near future. Good luck.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
