A toy is something to be used to amuse oneself. It is meant for distraction. It can be something of no real significance in day to day life, other than that of entertainment.
By that definition, most modern high tech gadgets are toys. In fact they are often called 'boys toys'. Video game systems fall under that as well. All of them.

Ugh. Why is there so much self-loathing in this industry that the "games" part of video-games is something to be devalued, diminished and generally spoken against? If deep down you just want to be like Hollywood... uh, why not go and work in that industry instead?
I love board games, especially the kinds you find in the specialty shops 
if you don't agree with the man why do you spread his quote and speak so much of him... when i don't like or agree with someone i just ignore him and don't speak about him in multiple forums... but perhaps thats just me...
besides ... right or not we live in a free speech world and we all can say what ever we want... and yes i did already read almost all of you saying some things like him about one or another console on the market...
