Those numbers are TERRIBLE. The article says two things to me:
i) Neither format is doing any real volume (under 1mill *total* sold for either format, across ALL movies?). Take out the launch "burst", and its even worse.
ii) Both formats are doing about the same (840k vrs 700k).

My previous conclusion is true (based on those figures) - both formats are irrelevant compared to DVD. Under prices of players and movies both come down, they will remain "niche" formats.
