That's it.

I'm taking Mafoo's cue and leaving for NZ.

Also, why would Chinese destroy the US?  Economically, it's a stupid idea.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Exactly. They'd just keep lending and lending and eventually say. "Pay up or give us land."

Obviously, a nation that's destroyed can't repay debts.

They'd bundle it up and sell it before it gets remotely destroyed.

I guess we didn't avoid Pat Toomey after all...

Hopefully he won't be as much of an embarassment for the state as Santorum was

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Apparently that guy in Washington state didn't succeed in changing the state seal to a tapeworm. The measure didn't even make it onto the ballot. Last night was all for naught.

I think it all depends on what you mean by "destroyed" ...

Much like pushing an individual near to bankruptcy with consumer debt, the United States could end up with so much debt that their standard of living fell dramatically; and this income was effectively being transferred to China perpetually. In many ways you could define this as economic ruin, or that the economy was destroyed, without ever preventing the United States from making the necessary interest payments on their debt.

Some part of me thinks we would just default rather than go into crippling financial ruin that affects the average citizen's quality of life.

California has to be the stupidest state in the nation.

They elect Boxer/Brown, yet vote down Marijuana.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I'm interested, are the tea party candidates that got in the sane ones or the nuts ones?

Well two of the craziest tea party candidates (Christine Odonnell and Sharon Angle) both lost and it looks like Miller will lose in Alaska.. but in my state the tea partiers won :(
