I thought in honor of halloween,I'd make a thread about scary movies. So,what's your favorite horror movie? I used to like nightmare on elm street back in the day,but after the first 2 movies,it became to comical. The halloween movies were good for awhile,but again the sequels were to comical,same with the friday the 13th movies. I thought the first saw was good,but quit watching them, after the 3rd one. So what's your favorite horror movie. lol

you know,I have never seen the silence of the lambs series,I should have,since I'm a movie buff. lol

my favorite ones are The Cube, Needful Things and Saw 1

the one that frightened me the most is Ringu (the jpn version of The Ring)

more of a chiller but The Shining always does the job,especially if you are all alone in the house,for me anyway

i love horror/chiller movies old and new not so keen on straight modern slahers without any substance but each to their own

haloween,rosemarys baby,the omen and loads more of course

not sure i'd call silence of the lambs a horror but i love the series see them for sure silence of the lambs and hanniball are great films

edit the redux/directors cut of the exorcist is a must see too

People may disagree, but I really like The Grudge as my favorite scary movie.

Just watch The Silence of the Lambs. The other movies in the series suck. They suck so much they'll make you cry, considering how good the first one is.

hanniball doesn't suck imo

It's probably a three way tie between Rosemary's Baby, Night of the Living Dead, and The Exorcist.
