I don't know anymore. A 3.8mill difference is pretty close. If Kinect doesn't make a massive splash and turn the tide again, and PS3 continues to win all through the holidays, it has a real chance to take 2nd, and by as early as holiday 2011.

Yes but PS3 still has GT5 and $199 price point and maybe even the true PS3 SLIM SKU to go with price cut again since sony don't call ps3 now PS3 slim.....

I doubt kinect will permanently put 360 out of reach sales wise till END OF GEN.

I actually made a mistake. Take 2 said the sales were 50/50 when the game had shipped 13 million copies, the game has since shipped 17 million copies, but they haven't revealed what the split was. I still believe it should be about 50/50 though.

i know its only the uk and i can't be bothered to look back at all the others but the ps3 really has been selling well there recently good to see,move must have helped that

Microsoft do seem to be putting all 360 of their eggs in one basket with Kinect. It is clearly gonna do well out of the gate but if it doesn't show results long term then I can see PS3 pulling away.
