Forums - Sales - Will PS 3 sell a one million units in the Others alone this December?

Week Ending:

8th December – 200k (first week in December)

14th December – 250k (full week with Uncharted and SingStar, very close to Christmas rush)

22th December – 300k (this is the week, where most people buying gifts)

29th December – 250k (do not forget that this week covers 23th and 24th December and Christmas continue until the very end, which is I think somewhere in January)

In these 4 weeks I expect the PS3 to hover around 200,000 to 225,000 units per week ...

I suspect that it will end up selling 800,000 to 900,000 units.

no but PS3 is gonna do at least 850-900, I dont think that Others has as big of Holiday rush as US does.

If it will, then my positive prediction about Others will be Right. =)

But i guess they will be just around 900-1000k.
If they would release UT3 in europe, maybe this would effect sales, though singstar is coming..
And of`course you can get UT3 from usa, but that will cost more..
If just GT5:prologue would be released worldwide.. ech. =)

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Personally I think the same but it would be amazing even if it do 970k because we are talking about one market and one month. With similar numbers from NA and with some help from Japan the PS 3 could reach 9 million by the end of the year (it 's too optimistic I know :)
