Yu Yu Hakusho shows the right way to set up battles in a series like this.

THIS^

Too bad Kuwabara had no part to play in the Demon Tournament apart from his little cameo.

I really want them to focus on Future Trunk's timeline thats about it. I wanna see how things unfolded in his time after he defeated the andriods and Cell.

What is everyone's problem with GT? I've never heard of all this hate for GT until recently, and all of it localized on this site

I shudder at the mere mention of GT, eugh. I think he should just forget EVERYTHING that happened after the Cell Saga, and pick up from there. No Vegeta with a fucking mustache, no Goten and Trunks being able to go Super Saiyan likes its a toy, keep it rooted and show ACTUAL progression. Man I miss Dragonball Z...Also, MORE PICCOLO!

I'd like to see them focus more on the rest fo the cast and let them actually accomplish things... vs just them waiting around/trying to live until Goku/Gohan survive.

The strength of anime with lots of fighting is having a large cast so they can take turns using their special moves and developing powers so it doesn't become dull.

Early Dragon Ball stuff was cool, though Goku was the strongest everyone had something to contribute.   Towards the end of Dragonball Z, it was basically Goku or bust.

I agree. Although Goku was the best, I was always happier when lesser guys like Yamcha and especially Tien got ther time in the limelight. Adult Trunks was my favorite character out of all of them.

The other guys need to actually DEFEAT something. Mainly, they just served as appetizers until Goku came and cleared house.......

They should carry on from where they left off and announce that GT never happened or that it was in an alternate dimension.

Really?  I've never heard a positive thing said about it before honestly.  Well ok that's exagerating, but i haven't seen much positive about it.

The biggest complaints I've seen with it tends to stem from the fact that

A)  it was a pure cash in, and what's his face (too lazy to look up in the thread) didn't actually wanna do it.

Of course, i'm pretty sure that was also the case after the first story with vegeta... and then after freeza he didn't want to make anymore... etc.

He just seems to do that periodically.  So i don't get that complaint.

B) Everything after the Freeza saga sucked anyway, and the entirity of GT was after this.

I get this one... after the Frieza saga, the majority of the cast became useless.  Humans seemed to have a set limitation to their power... and once they got past the Ginyu force level guys, Krilin, Yamcha, Tien... and hell even Picolo were pretty much useless (until piccolo got powered up.)  Basically, outside of the 4 saiyans... everyone was just pointless.

GT, if I remember correctly made this actually worse by just eliminating most of the cast for large portions of it, cutting down to just Young Goku, Pan and I don't even remember the other people.  Pan being a new character, nobody cared about her, and was upset that their favorite wasn't on the ride.

Personally I liked a lot of the Cell/Android stuff if only to see picolo's brief stand on the top again.   After that though I know I lost interest.  Honestly, Goku suffers from what I call "annoying main character syndrome".   In that, i like the show, but the main character is annoying as hell, and when they focus on him too much I'm out.

C)  It was just... weird.

Which it was... a lot of the early Baby stuff was just... weird.    Also, they went through all the trouble of finally saying "hey the dues ex machina dragon balls actually have a negative consequence, so stop abusing them!"   Except, they just beat em, and it's all back to normal I think.

D) The animation looks weird.

It is definitly a different style somehow.

Edit: Oh yeah

E) Goku is a child again?   That's kinda creepy and feels like an excuse to drag out the series forever.

I can see it.

F) Wasn't the end of Dragoball about Gohan inheriting the role of Earth's protector and Earth's strongest from Goku?  Why the F isn't he the main character instead of Goku?

Makes sense, really making Goku young again almost feels like away around needing Gohan as a main character.

I think the real problem is, humans have a very set limit... so once they hit the wall, they all became irrelevent, sure they could learn a new trick or two, but at the level the saiyans and enemies were skyrocketing... they were screwed.

They need some sort of mystical powerup or Ki breakthrough.

Human's were never the strongest but always got through via their resourcefullness... but eventually the power levels got so high that it didn't help.

I propose Senzu Steroids. Both humans and Saiyans used Senzu beans to great effects; let Bulma genetically alter a Senzu Seed and let Yamcha shit spirit bombs.
