Forums - Gaming - Amazing new Dragon Age 2 trailer!!!!

Well if its not the bug filled mess that the first one was then I may consider getting it.  But if it starts to look anything more like Mass Effect,  then they can forget it completely.  I loved everything about the first one, except all of the game issues.  And when they started to release DLC without fixing those problems and then created new problems with the DLC,  it just pissed me off.  I really wanted to buy the rest of the DLC but I couldnt justify buying extras for a game they knew was busted but instead of fixing it they just released more DLC.

come on no one cares!!!

Not after they ruined a promising franchise

the first game was great!! the gameplay wasnt perfect the pc version was much better, but the story and the world was great. now watch the trailer! your mind will change.

I did watch the trailer. And I agree with you that the first one was great, and now they've destroyed everything good about it for mass effect clone

Good thing they did

The first one was a bore

This one will actually be awesome because it will be similar to the fantastic mass effect games!!!!

I'm hyped now!

-.- it wasnt bad, i dont mind the change in the 2nd, as long as they keep the choices, although i am going to miss playing as a dwarf or an elf and being badly treated.

It wasn't bad no, but this is a Bioware game, I expect the best of the best. For me ME1/2 are among the best of the best, KOTOR was among the best of the best....Dragon Age wasn't. Hopefully DA2 will be....the direction they are going in is suited to me thats why I am hyped now.

da was great, its unique and offers an amazing experience. your just blind by ff7 and me series.

dragon age:origins>>>> ff7/me 1 and 2.

DA is anything but unique (in fact one of the reasons people like it is because its reminiscent of WRPG's of old) and it wasn't an amazing experience for me

ME1/2 and any FF for that matter are on a different level altogether.

So be it, Jedi.

name me games who  have 6 origin stories, and where people treat you diffrently because of them?

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

....Well, Mass Effect actually has nine separate origin stories, all of which influence certain characters to react to you differently.

Its actually pretty crowded considering how many people bought the first and are disappointed with the second.

Right... being disappionted with a game that isn't out yet or reviewed is logical.

Dragon Age was great for everything except gameplay. You people bitch about them changing the fighting system and that was the worst thing about Dragon Age. I really enjoyed the story, chracters, atmosphere, but fighting was just so unbelievably boring. The new fighting system looks a lot more entertaining and will likely appeal more to the masses.

People complained about Mass Effect 2 becoming more shooter than RPG. But in the end its selling great and will surpass the sales of the original pretty soon.

Did you, and I'm not judging by any means, play it on console? Its very much a game that should be played top down on PC, and coupled with the changes to the console version I could see it being very boring on them. On PC there is a lot of strategy and a lot of tension in the battle system.

You have to understand that some people don't give a whit about the battle system, and that it's there primarily as a hurdle to getting to the part of RPGs that they enjoy: interactions. For a lot of people, RPGs find their essence in their interactions with characters in the world, and battles are just a way to fill the time between interactions to lend them gravitas. Probably the best example of a game where nobody cares about the combat is Planescape: Torment.

For people who care primarily about the interactions as the lynchpin of the RPG experience, what they do with the combat is immaterial, and what DA2 is doing (which I'm not clear on, I still haven't seen any gameplay footage) may be a legitimately superior alternative.

...It would be kind of hard for you to not be. Yes. The answer is yes. The question is about what kind of human you are; me, I like being called the Butcher of Torfan.
