I think disolitude might be on to something...  The bundles seems pretty odd considering the value of MGS4, a game that sold really well but is two years old, and Castlevania, a brand new game but I think they probably really overshipped (i've yet to see a store that's not well stocked with copies...).

It's not even out on Japan so I guess you are right.

Overshipment plus they most likely want to get the game in to public hands as much as possible, if they are making a sequel. But how do you think japanese will react to the game, and how it plays?

Putting a castlevania name on the box and on the game menu but not in the actual gameplay is I think the cruelest Kojima joke on the gamers so far. Even more cruel than Raiden for Snake swap mid game in mgs2... :)

A reatiler shared first word earlier today about a bundle combining a PlayStation 3 with Castlevania Lords of Shadow and Metal Gear Solid 4. Konami has since confirmed the bundle.

The Castlevania Lords of Shadow Value Pack will be released opposite Lords of Shadow on December 16. For ¥37,980, buyers will get a 160 gigabyte Charcoal Black PlayStation 3 system, a copy of the standard version of Lords of Shadow, and PlayStation 3 the Best budget version of Metal Gear Solid 4.

Konami is also throwing in a bonus 20,000 Reward Points for Metal Gear Online (included with Metal Gear Solid 4). These points can be exchanged for equipment.

Pairing Metal Gear Solid 4 with Castlevania makes some amount of sense for the Japanese market, as the Japanese version of Castlevania uses Metal Gear Solid series voice actors and had its localization done in house at Kojima Productions."

why can't these bundle ever be released in NA? come on japan already has blue ps3, white ps3, bundles and whatnot. Hoefully something good for NA will come soon.

Geez, that bundle costs 466.50 USD. Poor Japanese, always getting over-priced or expensive products. :(

I like this bundle. It'll help Castlevania sales and it'll make MGS4 finally surpass 5 Million Lifetime !

It won't even need the bundle. On its current sales rate it should pass 5 million some time in mid to late November.
