They're both completely different genres... I don't know how I can give you a fair comparision. If you want a RPG, go with DS. If you want an open-world action game, go with Infamous.

I want to say Infamous, but I haven't picked up Demon Soul's yet. I'll just say Infamous. Demon Soul's, from what I've heard, is hella hard and takes up massive amounts of your time. So play with caution. As for Infamous, you can just zap opponents over and over again. Not difficult at all. Played through it through all difficulties fairly easily. It t'was a fun experience nonetheless :)
