I hope they keep the damage modeling out or at least have an option to turn it off. I like my cars nice and shiny.

you cant have a driving simulator without damage of some sort. I want to know how it feels to have a giant gash in my ferrari.

No damage!!! It's not a crash simulator. Let me tell you what that would feel like... you would grow bigger and turn green and then suddenly be wearing purple pants. Then you would want murder the person that caused the gash.

PS3 owners: create a Japanese (or possibly hong kong since you can choose english there) account and just download the demo for Prologue. Yes, there's a demo for a payed trial version for the full game.

Anyway, I didn't notice any damage but it does look really good so I suggest you try it. Arcade racers are more my style, but I can't wait to play it on an HDTV.

The demo was only available temporary like the excellent Everybody's Golf demo, both aren't available anymore.

Is it just me, or do those pics lack any kind of anti alaising? Otherwise, looks good.

Those pics are scaled down to fit in the width limit here. View the images directly to see them at full rez.

Now of course the cars would look good. Even before the 360 launched, screencaps showed us cars were having the best improvement of any kind of object with HD systems, so I wouldn't expect anything less from one of the top tier racing games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Really?  Wow, I did not know that...I got the Everybody's Golf demo as well...I guess I shouldn't delete them.

It appears damage is planned to be added through a later update according to this interview:
