Which Nintendo title will sell the most this holiday?

Donkey Kong Country: Returns 74 64.35%

Kirby:EpicYarn 1 0.87%

WiiParty 39 33.91%

PokePark:Pikachu's Adventure 1 0.87%

Total:115

The first 3 DKC games were huge hits. The ports on the GB (called DK Land) and the GBA all sold well (save for 3, but that still was enough to make money). It shows the series still can sell a lot.

Not that Wii party isn't likely to do very well. Just that I put the edge on DKC.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Wii Party > Donkey Kong Country >>>>>>>>>> Pokepark >>>>>> Kirby.

Talking sales of course, not quality :P

Why do so many people seem to hold up DCKR as the favourite? It's a relative unknown outside of the traditional market while Wii Party already has the established Wii label behind it.

Remember, NSMBW only sold as well as it did because everyone knows who Mario is. They might recognise Donkey Kong, but he won't be as much of a big deal to them.

Donkey Kong is probubly Nintendo's third most well known franchise, behind only Mario and Pokemon. DK was one of Nintendo's first arcade games and the baby boomer generation Wii is focused on grew up playing it. Also the DKC franchise sold better then most of Nintendo's other franchises in the 90's.

DK is a well known brand and just because Jungle Beat and Konga didn't sell doesn't mean DKC:R won't. I bet DKC:R will sell millions 4-5 mill in its lifespan easy. It will definatly be the Nintendo title of the holiday season. Though I think people are under estimating PokePark the Pokemon brand could easily make the title a contender.

I'm actually suprised nobody voted PokePark. Man Nintendo's holiday line-up this years beats the past two years easy. Yah I know NSMB:W came out last winter but it was alone their wasn't any other big titles to back it up. This winter their may be no Mario but Pokemon , Donkey Kong , Kirby and the Wii brand easily make this year the best in a while.

I think DKC:R will outsell the pack but I'm lost trying to figure out who will be in second place!

I really enjoy and love the Kirby serie but it's kind of obvious the DKCR will sale like Hot cakes this holiday season.

Wii Party or DKC. Most probably Wii Party.

Why did you even include this PokéPark game which sold only 500.000 copies in JP/EU combined?

If you'd thought outside the Wii box for a moment, you could have included instead of this Pokéthingy a far more interesting upcoming Nintendo game which has no chance at outselling Party, Donkey or Kirby either, but deserves more mentions on VGC (where we see tons of Wii sales threads but strangely even DS owners often ignore the system of this gen): Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

I can't see Dark Dawn selling more than 1.5 million lifetime. That's about par for the franchise, if VGC's data on the first two can be trusted.

It's nothing to scoff at, but I doubt it'll move any significant amount of DS's.

DKC:R will do the most this holiday. Wii Party will do more over the lifespan of the Wii.

I thought of that but decided to keep the list to home titles rather then include handheld!

Considering that the franchise hasn't produced by the standards of the traditional market a 'proper' game for a number of years, I'm not sure where you're coming from. Mario has instant brand awareness as a result of a steady stream of megahits and Pokemon has all kinds of merchandise, anime and outside-games recognition behind it, and the last four years have shown that if you slap Wii into the title of anything then people will buy it without having previously been interested or aware of it at all. Donkey Kong has no such prescence in the public conciousness, and likely won't pull in nearly the same sorts of numbers.

I have voted for Wii Party although I hope it is going to be DKCR.
