SMG should be #1, Bioshock, Phantom Hourglass, and God of War 2 should all be moved up, and Uncharted should replace Ace Combat 6. Bioshock should be above Halo 3, and I don't even wanna know how AC6 got on there.

A lot depends on who did the list and why they did the list.

If it is done for quality, quantity, and news -- then Halo 3 deserves the top spot because of the way it sold initially and the buzz it generated.

That being said, it appears they were trying to be game reviewers, which means they don't know anything they are talking about. So I wonder if they had some 20-somethings who play a lot of games do the rating.

And I don't mean the 20-somethings who play a lot of games who are smart and hang out on VGChartz -- other 20-somethings not nearly as smart. 8*>

Neither Galaxy or Halo should be number 1. There wasn't really an AAAmazing game released this year that I can think of. Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Zelda Wii are better than any of those games, but Zelda was last year and already won a bunch of awards; and you can't give Ninja Gaiden game of the year.

I still need to finish GoW2, but yeah, it's hard to leave Ratchet and Uncharted off for that and Ace Combat (give me a break). But hey, Persona 3 isn't on there, either. GoW2 is a fantastic game, though.

Also, I think Orange Box should be #1, but Halo 3 is a great package. I don't think the single player is all that great (go to Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, etc), but the forge system and replays are great. Also, Super Mario Galaxy has no (decent) multiplayer, and certainly nothing online.

I'd put CoD4, Orange Box, Halo 3, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero 3 over Super Mario Galaxy...unless you consider price, then perhaps it beats out the band bundles. Just my opinion.
