Yes, WM will enable smoother tracking including off screen but even without it the screen can be set to hold the camera when pointing off screen just like the first game could do.

But is that the default, or do you need to set it on options?

And what about the pointer shaking in the first game?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Yes, it's the default.

Believe it or not, not everyone had the pointer shaking issue. I know I didn't. When in the options menu, you could go to "Calibrate Sensor Bar." When it's not calibrated well enough, your pointer would shake. I calibrated mine well enough to where my pointer never shook or jittered. I'm sure Wii Motion Plus will help out with the shaking issue, and High Voltage does know about the shaking issue, so I'm sure the issue has been resolved.

I say a lot of the "core" Wii games could be improved in later installments with this kind of attitude, which is why I'm sure at least some of the developers are trying the old "do a poor job just so you don't get asked to do it again" trick that lazy or unwilling people do (something I admit to doing myself sometimes, so I know it when I see it).

Like Crazy said, what you expereinced is simply the sensitivity setting cranked up real high so that the most minute of movements are registered on screen.  Just drop the sensitivity level down a bit and those minor motions will be ignored.

It's almost impossible for us to hold a Wii remote perfectly steady so a motion threshhold is built into every game (Wii menu system too).  Conduit is one of the few games that lets you adjust it enough to this phenomenon.

Then I hope the default is lowered for that as well.

i was disappointed with the first game, and i am not going to buy the second one. i remember the day i was at the store, i had a choice b/w conduit and  a resident evil remake game (forgetting the name now) , and boy i've regretted that choice since.
